Wait List
The wait list is created on the Thursday AFTER a course closes during advanced registration week. The order in which a student adds his/her name to the list carries no preference for admission to the class. Signing the list simply makes a student eligible for enrollment should openings occur.
The Political Science department wait lists are now online rather than in the department office as in the past.
To add your name to a wait list, please follow the following steps:
- Log onto CAESAR and search for "All classes" (not just "open" classes)
- 2. Find the class for which you want to wait and go through the registration process
- 3. When you try to register; CAESAR should give you a message with the class number, etc., with a box marked "Ok to Waitlist?"
- Click on the box
Please note: The Political Science wait list is used by the department for purposes of class expansion only. If this should occur, students on the wait list will be notified by e-mail. Otherwise, after adding their names to the wait lists, students are encouraged to continue to watch CAESAR in case someone drops the course. If a drop occurs online, students may add the course online during both registration and add weeks.
Also Note: During freshman fall registration in early September, there will be no waitlists generated when courses reach maximum capacity. Students must choose another open class since add drop is immediately following freshman registration time. During add week all department waitlists are null and all students are allowed to enroll in any open courses on Caesar except 395's which requires departmental permission.
