Advising
Procedure
Political Science Majors and Minors are not assigned an advisor. Feel free to stop in during the open advising hours shown below.
Note that any of the Department's undergraduate advisors can help you:
- declare a major or a minor
- plan for study abroad (including sign the relevant paper work)
- petition to graduate
(bring an up-to-date copy of your degree progress report or unofficial transcript)
- plan your Political Science major
- think about pursuing honors
You need to meet with the Director of Undergraduate Studies if you:
- need an exception on your graduation form
- want to have your study abroad courses or courses taken at another college or University count towards the major credit
- want to complete a Certificate of Achievement in a Foreign Language
During the quarter you can simply turn up at the advisor's office hours listed below. You do not need an appointment. During school breaks, you should contact the advisors directly to schedule an appointment - note that faculty advisors may not be available during breaks.
