Application Procedure
We warmly welcome your interest in the graduate program at the Department of Political Science. Before commencing the application process, please consult The Graduate School's Admissions page to ensure you have all the information you need.
To apply for admission to the graduate program in Political Science, please follow these steps:
- Complete the online application form. (Available September 2, 2011)
- Submit the $75 application fee to the Graduate School (you will be prompted when you have completed the application form)
Include in your online application:
- statement of purpose
- writing sample
- at least two letters of recommendation
- original transcripts from all universities previously attended
All materials should be submitted online, not mailed to our office. Some international programs will only send paper copies, which is acceptable.

The application submission deadline is December 16th, 2011, by 5 p.m. CST. No exceptions will be made.
